The Peoples Temple Choir was unique. Multiracial, committed to social justice, and able to lay down a funky groove. The Choir truly was devoted to the principles of the Temple as originally set forth by the Rev. Jim Jones.

Events, as we all know, took a left turn somewhere along the line for the Peoples Temple. But at the time of this album's recording, in 1973, the ideal of the Temple was still very much alive and reflected in its music.
